Cyprus April Tourist Arrivals Climb 43% on More U.K. Visitors Tourists arrivals to Cyprus in April rose 43 percent from a year earlier to 199,762, mainly on a rebound in arrivals from the U.K., the government’s Statistical Service said. British tourists visiting Cyprus last month rose 29 percent to 80,998, the service said in a statement on its website today. January to April arrivals rose 18 percent to 405,463, mainly on a 61 percent increase in Russian visitors. Tourism accounts directly and indirectly for about one fourth of the Cypriot economy.
